Video design approach
Sean has been designing video and creating animation for live performance and museums for over ten years and uses After Effects, Photoshop, Maya and Blender to create content including hand drawn and illustrated animations. Projects demand very different approaches and aesthetics and his work can range from the illustrative to cinematic to realistic. Often video design requires the filming of actors to integrate them into the content and Sean has experience utilizing a green screen as a tool to isolate the subject to incorporate them into his design.
He has had the pleasure of designing video for productions throughout the U.S. including at South Coast Repertory, New York City Opera, The Geffen Playhouse, A Noise Within, California Science Center, The Getty Museum, Bootleg Theater, Boston Court, Pasadena Playhouse, Chicago Opera Theater, Long Beach Opera and the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.
Mini to mega
From one projector to 12 projectors, he has designed productions of all sizes and enjoys collaborating with a production team to create deeply integrated and meaningful media use for live performance.
